סיכום הדף היומי — Menachos 109
התרגום עדיין אינו זמין. הסיכום באנגלית מופיע להלן.
Menachos 109 – Good Morning Raboisai “One of My Animals” – Which One? If a person says “one of my bulls is Hekdesh” we assume he gives with a generous eye (ayin yafeh), so he means the best animal. Case of Three Animals If he has three bulls, the Mishnah says the middle one is also included. This means the best one is certainly Hekdesh, and the middle one is a safek. Result – Two Animals Now two animals may be Hekdesh, even though he only intended one. Solution We wait until the middle one gets a blemish , then transfer the kedusha to the best one, ensuring only one valid korban remains. Lashon of “Best” If he says “the ox of my oxen,” he clearly means the best one. Hekdesh vs Sale By Hekdesh, we interpret generously (best item). By a sale, the buyer loses and may receive the inferior item (hamotzi mechaveiro alav haraayah). Mixed Animal Case If one Hekdesh animal got mixed into many, we take the best one for Hekdesh. The rest must be sold, because each one might be Hekdesh. Two Separate Dinim There are two dinim: Which animal becomes Hekdesh → the best one. What to do with the rest → they must be sold. Beis Chonyo – Neder Case If a person says “I will bring an Olah in Beis Chonyo,” this is not a standard Beis HaMikdash korban. Meaning of His Statement If he meant a real korban, then it is an Olah, but he removed achrayus (responsibility). If something happens to it, he does not have to replace it. Result If he kills it, he does not need to bring another. However, if he performs proper shechita outside the Beis HaMikdash, he is chayav kares. Nazir Case If he says “I will be a Nazir in Beis Chonyo,” this is different. He is not a real Nazir, has no korban obligations, and can shave anywhere. Key Distinction Olah case → real korban without achrayus. Nazir case → not a real Nazir at all. Kohen & Avodah Zarah A Kohen who served Avodah Zarah cannot serve in the Beis HaMikdash. Exception – Shechita If he only did shechita for Avodah Zarah, he may still serve, because shechita is not considered Avodah. Zerika Case If he did zerika for Avodah Zarah, there is a machlokes whether even b’shogeg disqualifies him, since zerika is the main avodah (mechaper). Other Forms Bowing or speaking to Avodah Zarah are discussed. Speaking is not considered a full action, so it is less severe. Story – Shimon HaTzadik For many years, a figure dressed in white would accompany Shimon HaTzadik into the Kodesh HaKodashim and leave with him. In his final year, the figure appeared in black and did not come out with him. He understood this was a sign that he would pass away, and shortly after he died. After His Death After his passing, they stopped using the Shem HaMeforash in Birkas Kohanim. His Sons He appointed his son Chonyo, but his brother Shimi became jealous, misled him publicly, and caused an uproar. Chonyo fled to Alexandria and built Beis Chonyo. Key Takeaways Hekdesh is interpreted generously (best item). Safek can create multiple possible kedushos. Solution is to wait for a mum and transfer kedusha. Beis Chonyo neder removes achrayus but can still be a real korban. Nazir case is not a real Nazir. Zerika is more severe than shechita. The story of Shimon HaTzadik marks a major turning point.
